We would like to participate in the GivingTuesday movement (https://www.givingtuesday.org) to raise funds for our Screenwriting Mentorship Program. We have tried to create a GivingTuesday donation campaign in the past, but we received very few donations. None of us have copywriting experience so our ability to compose action-inciting copy is limited. We'd love to work with someone who has copywriting experience who can convey our mission and needs in a way that actually inspires people to donate.

We are looking for a consultant who can compose copy for four different email letters requesting donations: one to students who've participated in our programs, one to parents of students, one to speakers who have volunteered for us in the past, and a final letter to all of them (students, parents, and speakers) as a final call for donations. We'd also like the consultant to compose copy for 9 short Instagram posts talking about GivingTuesday and asking for donations that we can post throughout the month of November. The final Instagram post will be for actual Giving Tuesday which is December 1.

Organization Mission

The Dr. Barbara Seniors Harkins Foundation is a non-profit foundation set up in 2005 to motivate underprivileged children to pursue education beyond high school. The Dr. Barbara Seniors Harkins Foundation believes that the way to achieve this is by combining studying with inspirational out-of-school activities. The foundation wants to define the next generation of scholars, not only by what they learn in the classroom, but also through their experiences beyond textbooks and outside of traditional learning environments.
