We're looking for a skilled video editor to help us edit footage from our hybrid 2026 PFIC Family & Scientific Conference (Chicago, IL — July 10, 2026).
After the conference, we'll have the full-day recording in hand. We need a volunteer to break it down into separate session-specific videos and edit each into polished, ready-to-publish content. We'll post the finished videos on PFIC Network's YouTube channel, our website (pfic.org), and across social media to reach our international audience of patients, parents, healthcare providers, and researchers. We aim to publish the videos as soon as possible after the event, but we'll set a realistic timeline together based on your availability.
PFIC Network supports patients and families worldwide affected by progressive familial intrahepatic cholestasis (PFIC), a group of rare genetic liver diseases. Every year, we host a convening where expert clinicians and researchers provide informative talks in lay-language on the latest advancements in PFIC care and research. This video editing project will help us turn those recorded talks from our 2026 PFIC Family & Scientific Conference into lasting, accessible educational content for patients, families, clinicians, and researchers across the globe.
We have contracted the A/V company, Encore, and virtual events platform, Cvent, in order to livestream and record our conference to the Cloud. Within days of the event, our team will transfer the recording(s) to Google Drive and share them with you, organized and ready to work with. We will ask you to download the recording(s) and cut them into separate session-specific videos, then edit each one as needed. You can use our Canva Pro account or your own preferred video editing software - whichever you prefer!
A team member will be assigned to you to manage communication and feedback throughout the editing process. As soon as you hand off the final videos, our team will upload them to PFIC Network's YouTube channel, where they become a lasting resource for patients, families, clinicians, and researchers who couldn't attend live.
