FSGA AI-Powered Research Assistant

Current State
FSGA maintains a growing library of research reports, survey findings, and industry intelligence. While these assets are valuable, members must often:
• Search through multiple reports to locate relevant information;
• Review lengthy documents to find specific insights;
• Rely on staff assistance to identify historical data points; and
• Spend significant time synthesizing information across multiple sources.
As a result, the full value of FSGA's research investment may not be realized.

Future State
Members could access a secure AI-powered research assistant capable of answering questions such as:
• What has FSGA research found regarding fantasy sports participation trends?
• What research exists regarding crossover between fantasy sports and sports betting?
• Summarize the key findings from recent industry surveys.
• What data points can I use in a presentation regarding industry growth?
Responses would be generated from approved FSGA research assets and include citations to source materials whenever possible.

This initiative directly supports FSGA's strategic priority of Trusted Research by:
• Increasing accessibility of research assets;
• Improving member utilization of existing research;
• Enhancing the perceived value of membership;
• Supporting FSGA's role as an industry knowledge resource; and
• Demonstrating innovation in member service delivery.
The initiative may also support the Influential Brand strategic priority by positioning FSGA as a forward-thinking association utilizing emerging technologies to improve member access to information.

We have developed a business case & discovery document to ensure we're in alignment with volunteers ahead of starting the project. To me, the first step is validating this document and developing a preliminary budget and timeline so I can get sign off from our board of directors, as this project is not budgeted for.
