We are looking for a volunteer with QuickBooks Online experience to help us correct and reconcile our financial records. We have identified 10 specific discrepancies where income was handled outside of QuickBooks and never properly recorded in the system.

The volunteer will:
-Review a list of discrepancies
-Update or enter the correct transactions in QuickBooks Online
-Reconcile the affected accounts so our records are accurate and up to date
-Flag any patterns or issues that may have caused the discrepancies
-Provide a short summary document with recommendations to help prevent similar issues going forward
Accurate books will help Things That Creep (TTC) steward funds reliably so hands-on science programs can continue reaching Bay Area classrooms. Volunteers will directly support financial clarity, better reporting, and the sustainability of animal ambassador programs that spark STEM curiosity and compassion for animals.
We have identified 10 discrepancies that were resolved outside QuickBooks and are not reflected in Quickbooks. We will provide the list of issues and QBO access. Staff will be available to meet with the volunteer, review changes, and implement recommendations.

Organization Mission

Things That Creep (TTC) brings hands-on science programs to classrooms and outdoor spaces throughout the Bay Area. By introducing students to live “animal ambassadors,” including lizards, snakes, and frogs, TTC provides students with a memorable introduction to the biological sciences, sparks curiosity about STEM fields and encourages compassionate respect for animals that are often ignored or feared, but are vital to balanced, healthy ecosystems.
