Create a scalable nonprofit accounting system: an optimized chart of accounts for fund accounting; a revenue classification system separating donations and earned income; documented internal controls (segregation of duties, approval flows); a financial reporting dashboard template for board review; and earned-income compliance guidance.

Stronger accounting infrastructure will improve donor transparency, support grant applications, and track program-level costs for gardens, ropes course programming, and curriculum. This work will help secure sustainable funding and operational clarity so the organization can continue offering education, mentorship, and caring homes for youth in Mexico.

We have a QuickBooks account and expense spreadsheets, plus emerging ropes-course earned income. Volunteers will be given access to current records and stakeholders. Leadership supports strengthening controls and will use the outputs for audits, grant reporting, and board review.
